Job summary

The Warren-Trumbull County Public Library is seeking an experienced leader to serve as Public Service Operations Manager, a full-time role providing system-wide leadership and oversight of public service operations that deliver high-quality, equitable library services.

This role requires MLIS, multi-location supervision, budget oversight, and strong knowledge of library technology to support circulation, reference, and programming across the system.

Qualifications

• MLIS from an ALA-accredited program required.
• Progressively responsible managerial experience in a public library.
• Knowledge of circulation, reference, and programming.
• Experience budgeting and overseeing personnel across locations.
• Proficiency with library technology and databases.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise Public Service Managers and staff across locations.
• Serve as escalation point for complex customer, personnel, and operational issues.
• Monitor day-to-day public service operations for efficiency and quality.
• Ensure consistent public service standards, policies, and procedures.
• Develop and enforce public service policies and procedures.
• Review data and trends to identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate across departments to promote alignment and goals.
• Contribute to budget development and management for public services.
