Job summary

The Bartlett Public Library District is seeking a Part-time Facility Assistant to support the safe, clean, and efficient operation of the library’s facilities. The role involves routine custodial duties and setting up for library programs to create a welcoming environment for staff and patrons.

Essential tasks include cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, mopping, replenishing supplies, snow and ice removal when needed, and assisting with special events in meeting rooms.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 16.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least one (1) year of custodial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial and housekeeping duties including bathrooms, vacuuming, mopping, trash removal, supplies replenishment, and dusting.
• Maintain safe, clean, sanitary conditions throughout building and grounds.
• Assist with snow and ice removal when necessary.
• Assist with setup for library programs and special functions.
• Set up meeting rooms for Library programs.
• Report unusual conditions to management.
