Job summary

St. Joe County Public Library is seeking a dedicated Custodian to keep library spaces clean, welcoming, and in good repair.

You will work under the Facilities Assistant Manager, performing cleaning, setup of rooms, and basic equipment maintenance to support staff and community members. This full-time role requires reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed, with a focus on safety and efficient facility operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Custodial/maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect library spaces and restrooms; replenish supplies.
• Set up and take down chairs, tables, and equipment in meeting rooms.
• Maintain and minor-repair cleaning equipment and furniture as needed.
• Secure buildings and maintain access for staff and patrons.
• Perform routine maintenance and respond to safety and emergency needs.
