Job summary

The Community Library Association (CLA) seeks a Development Manager to lead fundraising efforts and manage the donor program. Reporting to the Interim Executive Director, you will build donor relationships, steward recognition, and develop a donor database to support CLA’s mission.

Key duties include creating a comprehensive fundraising plan, coordinating with the Board and volunteers, tracking KPIs, and identifying grant opportunities to sustain CLA’s work across six communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; master’s preferred.
• 3–5 years of fundraising experience in a nonprofit.
• Experience with donor management databases and board collaboration.
• Proven fundraising success and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan with clear goals.
• Cultivate and solicit gifts from individuals, foundations, corporations, and government sources.
• Maintain donor database, prepare acknowledgments and reports.
• Collaborate with Board, volunteers, and staff to meet annual fundraising goals.
• Prepare monthly reports for the Executive Director and Development Committee.
