Job summary

The Camden Public Library is seeking a Development Director to cultivate donor relations, plan fundraising strategies, and lead outreach to build support for the library’s mission.

You will supervise events, manage the donor database, collaborate with the Executive Director and Board, and guide major gifts, planned giving, and marketing efforts to raise visibility. Experience in non-profit fundraising and strong writing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in major donor relationship management.
• Experience in formulating donor policies, donor initiatives, capital campaigns, and promotional materials.
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business, or related field.
• Excellent interpersonal and writing skills; ability to engage diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop fundraising strategies and donor relations to meet annual goals.
• Build and maintain relationships with trustees, donors, and community partners through meetings and events.
• Plan and implement major, mid-level, and planned giving programs with the Executive Director and Board.
• Oversee grant research and application efforts with public and private sources.
• Manage donor database, gift processing, reports, and acknowledgments.
• Lead marketing and public relations efforts, including campaigns and communications.
