Job summary

Public Lab seeks a Development and Communications Manager to oversee fundraising and external communications, manage grants, and grow the donor base. You will coordinate writing, reporting, and workflows for newsletters, blogs, and social media while collaborating with leadership.

The ideal candidate will manage fundraising activities, track donor data in a CRM, and help expand funding opportunities across foundations, government, and individuals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred and 2–3 years of related experience.
• Experience in organizations with multiple funding sources.
• Experience in science, environment or technology communications.

Responsibilities

• Manage grants: writing, reporting, and deadlines with CRM coordination.
• Develop individual giving: donor relations, appeals, acknowledgments.
• Monitor grant deliverables and budgets with the team.
• Research funding opportunities from foundations, agencies, and individuals.
• Create outward-facing publications: blogs, newsletters, reports.
• Provide fiscal sponsorship support and financial reporting as needed.
• Support community fundraising and partnerships.
• Provide administrative support and enforce policies.
