Job summary

Life in Pittsburgh is seeking a Development Manager to lead the organization’s fundraising efforts and donor relations. This exempt, part-time role focuses on growing individual giving, stewarding donor recognition, and building systems to sustain the library’s mission.

You will report to the Executive Director and collaborate with the CLA Board and staff to advance fundraising goals. The position requires strong communication, grant research, and data-management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field; master’s preferred.
• Minimum three to five years in nonprofit fundraising, with board experience.
• Experience with donor databases and donor cultivation best practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan with clear KPIs.
• Lead donor cultivation, stewardship, and annual giving campaigns.
• Collaborate with staff, board, and volunteers to meet fundraising goals.
• Track activities and prepare monthly reports for leadership and the board.
• Identify and pursue grant opportunities and write compelling proposals.
• Manage donor database and ensure timely acknowledgments and communications.
