Job summary

Naperville Public Library is seeking an Adult Services Associate to provide reference and Readers’ Advisory services and technology assistance to library customers. Supports staff in managing collections and conducting programs.

Promotes library resources, programs, and services. Responsibilities include assisting customers with resources, providing training, using relevant software, staying current with literature and technology, and leading presentations of library programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in library field or related area.
• Strong customer service and instructional abilities.
• Ability to provide reference assistance and guidance to patrons.

Responsibilities

• Assists customers with print, electronic and digital resources.
• Provides reference and Reader’s Advisory to customers.
• Delivers training and group/classroom guidance for patrons.
• Keeps up with literature, technology and library trends.
• Leads programs and assembles displays of library materials.
