Job summary

The Pima County Public Library is seeking a Library Technical Assistant Supervisor for the Woods Memorial Library. The role supervises staff, oversees circulation functions, and delivers direct customer service to patrons of all ages, including English- and Spanish-speaking users.

Evening and weekend hours are required, and the candidate must be able to report to and travel between assigned library locations during the workday within a reasonable timeframe. Spanish language skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in library technology or library science with 1 year of library circulation desk service.
• Or two years of high-volume customer service or library circulation desk experience.
• Education and work experience must be documented in the application.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate staff and manage performance.
• Interview, hire, and train new circulation staff and oversee branch activities.
• Oversee circulation desk operations and catalog/record keeping per policy.
• Supervise daily tasks, delegate work, and approve projects.
• Develop multilingual, culturally relevant programs and promote access for Latino/Hispanic communities.
• Provide customer service in person, by phone, and email to English- and Spanish-speaking patrons.
