Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of clerical and customer service experience.
• Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
• Ability to apply sound judgment and solve problems.
• Strong verbal, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to organize paper documents and electronic files.
• Familiarity with library resources and self-check systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform branch circulation functions in the library system and assist with passport services.
• Provide customer service by answering phones and guiding patrons.
• Accept library cards, voter registration, and passport-related tasks.
• Collect fines, balance cash, and maintain daily records.
• Process Ohio Link, Search Ohio, and materials transfers.
• Open/close the branch and monitor building security as assigned.
