Job summary

Las Vegas-Clark County Library District is hiring an Assistant Branch Manager for the Mesquite Library in Mesquite, NV. This full-time, exempt role reports to the Branch Manager and oversees daily operations, staff supervision, and community outreach to support district goals.

Qualifications include a MLS/MLIS and at least three years librarian experience with two in a supervisory role. A Nevada driver's license is required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• MLS/MLIS degree required.
• Three years professional librarian experience with at least two years supervisory experience.
• Possess, or have the ability to obtain, a Nevada Driver’s License at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist Branch Manager with day-to-day operational management of the Mesquite Library.
• Supervise branch staff and assist in staff development and coaching.
• Oversee branch projects, programs, vendors, and committees to support initiatives.
• Develop relationships with the local community for programs and outreach.
• Maintain files, records, and reports; ensure accurate and efficient workflow.
• Monitor compliance with laws, regulations, and district policies.
