Job summary

Las Vegas-Clark County Library District in Mesquite, NV is hiring an Assistant Branch Manager for the Mesquite Library. The role provides operational and administrative leadership, supervises staff, and acts as PIC on a routine basis.

The position is full-time (40 hours) and exempt. pay range is $97,707.81 to $130,938.29 per year, with annual merit and COLA increases per policy. Interviewing around Nov 23, 2026.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Library Science (MLS/MLIS) from an ALA-accredited college or university.
• Three years professional librarian experience with at least two years supervisory experience.
• Three years librarian experience with two years supervisory experience in a public library (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist Branch Manager with day-to-day operational management of the library branch.
• Supervise staff and coordinate with branches and departments to meet goals.
• Oversee branch projects, programs, vendors, and committees to support initiatives.
• Develop relationships with the local community for programs and outreach.
