Job summary

Christian County Library seeks a Nixa Branch Manager to lead daily branch operations, supervise staff, and provide strong administrative leadership for the library district. You will engage the community inside and outside the branch while ensuring excellent customer service and program delivery.

Responsibilities include coordinating branch services, overseeing facilities, training staff, and participating in budgeting and policy development in collaboration with Administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Customer service experience required.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Master’s degree in Library Science or similar preferred.
• Public library experience preferred.
• Dedicated civil service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily branch operations and schedule staff to ensure services are available to patrons.
• Oversee facility needs including safety, maintenance, and security measures.
• Supervise branch staff, train on circulation and reference procedures, and participate in hiring and evaluations.
• Participate in administrative staff team activities and budgeting processes.
• Coordinate branch materials, services, and programs with other departments to fulfill the library mission.
