Davis County Library in Centerville is seeking a Branch Manager to oversee a busy library location and lead professional and clerical staff. The role is full-time and focuses on directing operations, programming, and customer service at the Centerville Library.

The ideal candidate holds an MLS or a related master's degree and has multiple years’ library experience, including supervisory responsibilities, with strong budgeting, outreach, and strategic planning skills.

Qualifications

• ALA-accredited MLS or a master's in public/business administration.
• Four years of full-time library experience, at least two years in a supervisory role.
• Combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the branch location; supervises staff; hires, trains, schedules, and evaluates performance.
• Manages collection development and facilities; plans long-term materials and budget input.
• Assists patrons with reference questions; guides users to information sources and teaches use of catalog and databases.
• Participates in system meetings and planning for system-wide activities and programs; interprets policies.
• Coordinates outreach and community relations; travels for conferences and training as needed.
