Job summary

Hoover Library is seeking a friendly Technology Hub assistant to help patrons use computers and software, sign up for classes, and check out Hot Spot materials.

You will also assist with faxes and scanners, provide basic instruction, keep the space neat, stock supplies, and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Excellent internal and external customer service skills.
• Experience operating a computer, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to maneuver among high and low shelves.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include nights and weekends.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous library experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists patrons with the use of the computers and available software in the Technology Hub.
• Assists patrons in signing up for computer classes.
• Assists patrons with checking out Hot Spot materials.
• Assists patrons with sending local and long-distance faxes and the use of the scanner.
• Provides basic instruction on using the applications PC.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment for staff and patrons.
• Stocks the Technology Hub with needed supplies.
• Other duties as assigned.
