Metropolitan Community College is seeking staff to provide customer service to library patrons, including circulation, reference support, and technical assistance. You will check materials in and out, process inter-library loans, manage fines and notices, and help maintain library systems and inventory.
Strong communication and computer skills are essential. The role involves shelving and organizing the collection, ensuring equipment is functional, and assisting patrons with reference inquiries.
Incumbents provide customer service to all library patrons including circulation, acquisition, and technical support.
Positions in this class typically require grasping, hearing, keyboarding, reaching, repetitive motion, standing, talking, visual acuity, and walking. The work is sedentary work which requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly.
