Job summary

The University of Washington Libraries seeks a Facilities Manager to oversee daily operations and maintenance across its Seattle campus. You will ensure safe, functional, and welcoming spaces for staff, students, and visitors while coordinating access, maintenance, and renovations.

You will lead a team, partner with central Facilities & Events, manage multi-site coordination, and support events and space usage to sustain high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3–4 years in facilities or building management.
• Experience with educational or institutional facilities.
• Understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety).
• Strong project management and coordination skills.
• Ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
• Knowledge of construction practices and trades.
• Strong written and spoken communication.
• Curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving.
