UW Libraries has an outstanding opportunity for a Facilities Manager to join their team.
The Facilities Manager leads daily operations and maintenance of Libraries spaces across the Seattle campus, ensuring a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for staff, students, and visitors. This position is responsible for managing building access, coordinating maintenance and renovations, supporting events and space usage, and supervising facilities staff. The Facilities Manager serves as the primary operational link between the central Facilities & Events team and site contacts at each UW Libraries location across campus, ensuring consistent standards of care and responsiveness across all sites.
UW Libraries Seattle footprint encompasses 11 libraries and offsite storage occupying all or part of 17 buildings and totaling just under 1 million square feet. These spaces house over 7 million pieces of physical material and special collections, support the work of 500 student and full-time staff, and accommodate over 2.5 million visitors per year.
