Job summary

Swiss Re Corporate Solutions is seeking a professional liability underwriter to shape and grow a high‑performing portfolio of Miscellaneous and Construction PI risks. You will analyze complex risks, negotiate terms, and build trusted broker relationships to drive long‑term business success.

The role requires 5+ years in underwriting, established broker networks, and a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset. The team operates in a hybrid model with in‑office collaboration at least three days per week.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Professional Liability underwriting experience.
• Expertise in Miscellaneous Professional Liability and/or Construction Professional Liability.
• Established broker network within the professional liability marketplace.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills for complex risk exposures.
• Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and manage a portfolio of Miscellaneous and Construction Professional Liability risks for profitability and quality.
• Develop and nurture strong broker partnerships to generate quality submissions.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with underwriting strategy.
• Analyze risk exposures, pricing adequacy, coverage structures, and terms for sound decisions.
• Negotiate terms with brokers and clients while maintaining underwriting discipline.
• Collaborate with claims, actuarial, and underwriting teams to monitor portfolio performance.
• Monitor market trends and developments in the professional liability landscape.
• Represent Swiss Re in broker meetings, industry events, and client engagements.
