Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead daily BDC operations: inbound/outbound calls, internet leads, chat, text.
• Hire, schedule, coach, and hold BDC reps accountable to monthly goals.
• Set, confirm, and recover appointments; improve show rate and conversion.
• Respond to OEM, website, and third-party leads with urgency and luxury tone.
• Keep CRM records complete and follow-up processes consistent.
• Monitor KPIs: contacts, appointments set, shows, sold units, service retention, CSI.
• Coordinate handoffs with Sales, Service, and management.
• Train the team on scripts and Lexus brand representation.

Lexus of Westport is seeking an experienced, polished Business Development Center Manager to lead our BDC and own the first impression of the Lexus brand. This role turns phone, internet, chat, and text inquiries into shown appointments and long-term guest relationships - at a luxury standard consistent with Lexus CSI.The BDC is often the guest’s first contact with the dealership. We need a hands‑on leader who coaches a team, runs a tight CRM process, and partners with Sales and Service.

What you will do

• Lead daily BDC operations: inbound and outbound calls, internet leads, chat, and text
• Hire, schedule, coach, and hold BDC representatives accountable to monthly goals
• Set, confirm, and recover appointments; improve show rate and conversion
• Respond to OEM, website, and third-party leads with urgency and a luxury tone
• Keep CRM records complete and follow-up processes consistent
• Monitor KPIs: contacts, appointments set, shows, sold units, service retention, and CSI
• Coordinate clean handoffs with Sales Consultants, Sales Managers, Service Advisors, and the Service Manager
• Support online merchandising accuracy where it affects lead quality
• Train the team on scripts, product talking points, and Lexus brand representation
• Protect guest experience from first contact through showroom or service drive

What we are looking for

• 3–5 years automotive BDC, internet sales, or dealership BDC experience; management preferred
• Luxury or high-line experience a plus
• Proven results in appointment show rate, lead conversion, and team coaching
• Strong written and verbal communication; professional, guest-ready presence
• Data-driven; comfortable with daily/weekly performance reporting
• Proficient with dealership CRM (preferably E-Leads)
• Organized, accountable, and effective in a fast-paced store
• Valid driver’s license
