POSITION TITLE: Level III Technician Tower

CLASSIFICATION: Non - Exempt

Position Overview

ADB Wireless seeks a Level III Tower Technician with at least 2 years of experience in the wireless industry. The technician should proficiently identify safety hazards, understand RF configurations, testing, troubleshooting, and assist in training Level I and II Technicians. The role involves safely climbing and working on wireless structures under supervision, with mentorship from experienced technicians and foremen. The ideal candidate values safety, has a strong work ethic, and an ALL IN attitude.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Decommission towers and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform PIM testing, RF sweep tests, and fiber tests as required.
• Install and route coax, hybrid trunks, and jumpers.
• Hang booms, mounts, antennas, and rig towers in Class IV scenarios.
• Install Ice Bridges and perform cad welds properly.
• Build tower platforms and install on towers, handling exposure to a cathead.
• Route and secure hybrid cables and jumpers.
• Fabricate steel in the field and on towers.
• Wire Raycaps and install Flash Technology lighting controllers.
• Troubleshoot fiber, power, and RF issues using testing gear.
• Take pre-construction and closeout photos.
• Rig towers in Class III scenarios.
• Install microwave dishes, antennas, RRUs, and other wireless equipment.
• Develop skills through mentorship and the Career Advancement Matrix (CAM).
• Climb and work on communication towers for installation, replacement, and repair of antenna systems, under supervision.
• Use and care for hand tools and mechanical equipment.
• Understand hazards related to tower climbing, construction equipment, and working near energized lines.
• Climb tall structures (100+ feet) with a 50 lb. load.
• Analyze situations and adopt appropriate actions.
• Perform additional duties as requested.

Work Environment

• Located at: 18777 US Highway 66 Pacific, MO 63069.
• Physical positions include sitting, squatting, standing, walking, climbing.
• Exposure to noise, weather conditions (hot, cold, humid, rainy).
• Mandatory use of safety equipment (glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, steel-toed boots).

Experience And Education

• 4+ years in wireless technologies preferred.
• First Aid / CPR certification preferred.
• RF Awareness Training preferred.
• OSHA10 certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
