Qualifications

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a Level III Technician, ISP, to provide advanced level ISP (Inside Plant) copper and fiber cable installations nationwide. The technician should possess the technical skills for installations and removals of powered and non-powered equipment, and demonstrate leadership and soft skills to guide others onsite. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, committed to quality and safety, with a strong work ethic and ALL IN attitude to achieve results.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform advanced fiber and copper cable installation, including termination, assembly, and dressing to meet customer requirements.
  • Add and remove powered and non-powered cables and equipment (e.g., racks, cabinets), following project scope, including wiring, connections, and rack drawings.
  • Conduct site surveys, cutovers, and wireless system installations to deliver quality results.
  • Read prints independently and assign work to other technicians; understand job specifications and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Perform fiber splicing, testing, and certification to ensure quality deliverables.
  • Install cable pathways and ground/bond IT equipment to meet customer expectations and support project success.
  • Collaborate with DC power technicians on secondary DC power installations.
  • Promote a culture of safety and participation in company events.
  • Manage onsite resources including time, materials, tools, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Lead and train crew members, ensuring safety, quality, and performance standards are upheld.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, internal teams, and subcontractors; address issues proactively.
  • Exhibit a strong safety commitment, leading by example and engaging in safety training and practices.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Support ISP projects across various customer facilities nationwide
  • Physical ability to perform tasks like sitting, standing, climbing, etc.
  • Potential exposure to noise and environmental factors onsite
  • Required to wear safety gear such as glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and steel-toed boots

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • 3-6 years of cable installation experience
  • BICSI Installer, Man Lift, and CPR certifications required
  • Preferred but not required: 2 manufacturer certifications (e.g., CommScope, B-Line)
  • OSHA 30-hour certification required
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Starting pay is $30/hr, subject to skills, experience, and qualifications.
