Cedarhurst Living is seeking a Level One Medication Aide (L1MA) to administer medications and provide direct resident care under the Director of Nursing. You will support activities of daily living, promote safety, and maintain accurate documentation in a person-centered environment.

The role requires a state-approved medication aide certification, with insulin and CPR/BLS certifications preferred, and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Excellent teamwork and communication are essential.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current and active state-approved medication aide/technician certification required.
• Insulin certification preferred.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct resident care services including medicine distribution following an individualized plan of care.
• Observe residents and communicate condition changes to physicians, health care proxies, and supervisors with timely interventions.
• Document all pertinent observations, incidents, interventions, and daily medication administration.
• Pass information to the next shift and ensure timely documentation by Resident Assistants.
• Check and record vital signs, weights, and blood sugars as assigned.
• Administer and document glucose monitoring and insulin for insulin-certified technicians.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and nutritional/hydration needs.
• Assist in restorative nursing techniques and proper positioning.
• Assist transfers and ambulation and respond to urgent calls as needed.
• Promote resident participation in activities and maintain a restraint-free environment.
• Support fall prevention programs and orientation for new staff.

Educación

High School Diploma or equivalent

Current and active state-approved medication aide/technician certification
