Job summary

Cedarhurst Senior Living is hiring a Level One Medication Aide (L1MA) to provide direct resident care and medication administration per individualized plans. The role supports activities of daily living and maintains safety and documentation standards.

The L1MA reports to the Director of Nursing and collaborates with physicians, families, and supervisors to promote resident independence and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current state-approved medication aide/technician certification required.
• Insulin certification preferred.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care and administer medications per individualized care plan.
• Observe residents and report condition changes to physicians and supervisors with timely interventions.
• Document observations, red flags, incidents, and MAR entries during shifts.
• Compact and relay essential information during shift handoffs to ensure continuity of care.
