Job summary

Cedarhurst Living in Missouri is seeking a Level One Medication Aide (L1MA) to administer medications and provide direct resident care under the Director of Nursing. You will follow individualized care plans, monitor vitals, document care and MARs, and assist with activities of daily living while maintaining a safe, dignified, and resident-centered environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current and active state-approved medication aide/technician certification is required.
• Insulin certification is preferred.
• CPR or BLS certification is preferred.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care services including medicine distribution following an individualized plan of care.
• Observe residents and communicate condition changes to physicians and supervisors with timely interventions.
• Document all pertinent observations, incidents, and daily medication assistance.
• Ensure timely information transfer between shifts and accurate MAR documentation.
• Administer and document medications following the five rights (drug, route, resident, time, dose).
• Monitor vital signs and assist with activities of daily living as needed.
• Assist residents with nutrition, hydration, and restorative nursing techniques.
• Promote safety and infection control and participate in staff training and orientation.
• Support resident independence and communicate with families and supervisors as needed.
