Job summary

Nesco Data Center in Tanner, Alabama, is seeking a Level 2 IT / Systems Integration Technician for a six-month on-site contract. Responsibilities include hardware installation, system integration, HMI refreshes, and camera deployments in a fast-paced, industrial setting.

Flexible start times, standard 7:00 AM–3:30 PM schedule, and close collaboration with IT and engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have hands-on IT hardware support, PC troubleshooting, and experience in field deployments,

Qualifications

• Hands-on IT support and systems integration experience in similar environments.
• Strong knowledge of PC hardware and Windows operating systems.
• Experience installing, configuring, and testing IT equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues independently.
• Experience with hardware staging, rack-and-stack, and cable management.
• Comfort in manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Ability to follow installation documentation and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test desktop PCs, industrial PCs, monitors, printers, and related equipment.
• Support HMI refresh projects and camera system deployments.
• Stage equipment, label, inventory, and prepare for deployment.
• Assist with rack installation, cabling, and infrastructure integration.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot PC hardware and OS issues.
• Verify deployments and validate system readiness before handoff.
• Troubleshoot field hardware and connectivity issues and escalate when needed.
• Coordinate with IT, engineering, contractors to support startup of new facilities.
• Maintain installation records and equipment inventories.
• Manage tasks and communicate progress to timelines.
