Job summary
Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care for leukemia patients within the Department of Medicine - Leukemia. You will perform comprehensive assessments, diagnose and manage complex conditions, order tests, and develop personalized treatment plans, working with a multidisciplinary team.
The role supports practicing at the top of your license, contributing to innovative cancer care at a nationally recognized center.
Qualifications
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in New York State.
- Current Nurse Practitioner certification in New York State.
- Certification or eligibility for NP certification by a nationally recognized body (HCFA-recognized).
- Certification or eligibility for ACLS.
- Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments for leukemia patients.
- Diagnose and manage complex medical conditions relevant to hematology/oncology.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications as appropriate and monitor responses.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide ongoing clinical management and family education.
