Job summary

West Michigan Credit Union in Manistee is seeking a Member Service Representative to assist members with their lending needs and guide them through the loan application process.

You will pull credit reports, assess debt-to-income ratios, and prepare underwriting documentation to fund or deny requests. You will also open memberships and identify cross-selling opportunities while staying up to date on all credit union products.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CU*Answers experience preferred.
• Lending experience preferred.
• Able to pass a background check.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist members with the loan application process.
• Pull credit reports and calculate the debt-to-income ratios.
• Prepare loan applications for underwriting and complete necessary documentation to fund or deny a request.
• Open memberships.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities and recommend products and services to meet the financial needs of members.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of all credit union products and accounts and related policies and procedures.
