Job summary

American Indian Services (AIS) is seeking a Finance and Operations Manager to oversee budgeting, cash flow, reporting, and external audits from our Lehi, UT campus. You will support program teams with financial tracking for scholarships and grants, maintain CRM and financial records, and help optimize workflows.

Qualifications

• Strong financial management skills: budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and financial reporting.
• Experience with accounting principles, non-profit finance, and ERP or accounting software.
• Operational management in office administration, process improvement, and vendor/contract management.
• Ability to manage projects, prioritize deadlines, and implement efficient systems and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to present financial information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
• High integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to accountability and transparency in funds.
• Experience in the nonprofit sector or education-related organizations is beneficial; familiarity with Native American communities is a plus.
• Bachelors' degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; certifications or advanced education advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day financial management, including budgeting, cash flow monitoring, reporting, and coordination with external accountants or auditors.
• Manage operational processes such as office administration, vendor relationships, and compliance with non-profit regulations.
• Support program teams with financial tracking for scholarships and grants; maintain records in financial and CRM systems.
• Contribute to strategic planning, prepare presentations and reports for leadership and the board, and ensure donor funds are stewarded transparently.
• Improve organizational workflows and efficiency across finance and operations.
