LEGO Production Model Shop Build Supervisor

Bringing LEGO models to life with light, sound, and movement is something our dedicated team of LEGO Designers, Builders, and Technicians do every day for LEGOLAND Parks, LEGOLAND Discovery Centers, and more across the world. Our Merlin Magic Making (MMM) Studio in Florida is now looking for an organised and analytical LEGO Production Model Shop Build Supervisor to join the team on a permanent basis. Salary for this role is up to $55,000 depending on experience.

About the role...

You will be responsible for leading the LEGO build floor team in the delivery of world-class LEGO models. Your key focus will be on ensuring production quality remains high within agreed budget and brief. This will be driven through leading and developing the team of builders through a clear vision, key objectives, and targets. Key objectives include:

• Supervise people, projects, and practicalities of the Model Shop floor to ensure the production of world-class models.
• Ensure all models meet the brief at the right quality, on time and on budget.
• Inspire, motivate, and lead a team of builders to high standards in line with the company values (The Merlin Way) at all times.
• Ensure the models built are to brand and brief requirements.
• Support Asst. Manager to ensure Merlin’s Health, Safety and Security procedures are always met and that the facilities are fit for purpose.
• Review and update the production schedule, ensuring there are sufficient resources (people, appropriate skill sets, equipment, and materials) in place to deliver the work for LEGOLAND Parks and Hotels and LDCs.

About You...

• Resource analysis and production planning for a large and varied team.
• Short term and long-term scheduling of work.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Products.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills with an ability to relate to a variety of individuals at all levels of the business.
• Ability to learn new software and systems in a rapid manner.
• Exceptional level of detail without losing sight of the overall outcome of the deliverables.
