Job summary

Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP is seeking a Manager of Legal Professional Development to join our Talent team in Los Angeles. This role designs and delivers training programs for attorneys and professionals, drives curricula, and partners with practice groups to advance talent.

You will oversee mock-style trainings, orientation for summer associates, and mentoring initiatives, manage relationships with speakers and vendors, and help develop competency frameworks and CLE strategies while

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and J.D. required.
At least five (5) years of legal experience in a professional services firm.
Experience with CLE tracking systems or databases.
Strong attention to detail and project management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Director of Training and Development to design and execute training for attorneys and professionals.
Lead planning and execution of practice group training initiatives and curricula.
Design and deliver mock-style trainings (mock trials, simulations) with the team.
Create orientation programs for summer associates, junior associates, counsel, and partners.
Develop and implement trainings, mentoring programs, and communications.
