A law firm seeks a Legal Technology and AI Attorney - Transactional based in Irvine. This role involves supporting the firm's Legal Technology and AI initiatives by collaborating with transactional practice groups to design, implement, and optimize technology-enabled workflows. The attorney will evaluate, configure, and deploy AI and legal technology tools to enhance transaction execution, contract drafting, due diligence, and deal management.
Duties
- Partner with transactional practice groups to improve deal workflows using AI and legal technology.
- Design and implement technology-enabled workflows for contract drafting and transaction management.
- Evaluate and pilot emerging legal technology and AI solutions for transactional practice.
- Develop and refine prompts for generative AI systems to support transactional workflows.
- Configure and test AI-powered platforms to meet attorneys' needs and support high-quality legal work.
- Collaborate to develop standardized approaches for AI-assisted drafting and contract review.
- Work with IT and Knowledge Management to ensure effective integration of transactional technology tools.
- Assist in developing governance frameworks for responsible AI use in transactional matters.
- Provide training and guidance on the effective use of legal technology and AI tools.
- Develop internal documentation and best practices for transactional technology workflows.
- Monitor developments in legal technology and generative AI to improve transactional efficiency.
- Support cross-practice innovation initiatives involving transactional technology and AI-enabled drafting workflows.
- Participate in vendor evaluations and pilot programs for new transactional technology platforms.
Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 3-5 years of experience in a transactional practice group such as mergers and acquisitions or finance.
- Experience with transactional workflows, including contract drafting and transaction management.
- Interest in legal technology and AI applications in transactional practice.
- Familiarity with generative AI tools and prompt engineering concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience managing projects or technology implementations is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
Education
J.D. from an accredited law school.
Certifications
Admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
