Job summary

Block is seeking a collaborative operations leader to head the Legal Innovation & Operations (LIO) team within Counsel. You will turn vision into execution, manage multiple workstreams, and drive automation and AI initiatives to optimize how work gets done across the organization.

You will oversee legal systems, budget, and vendor partnerships, partnering with Legal, IT, Finance, and Business Operations to deliver measurable business value.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in legal operations or a related operations-focused role.
• Experience leading automation or AI initiatives that drive measurable improvements.
• Capacity for managing budgets, timelines, and stakeholders with attention to detail.
• Adaptive communication methods, translating technical detail into clear business value.
• Collaborative and curious mindset, unafraid to experiment or rethink processes.
• Familiarity with platforms like DocuSign CLM or workflow automation tools.
• Experience building trust quickly with senior leadership to individual contributors.
