The Michigan Department of Attorney General, Corrections Division, seeks a Division Legal Secretary Supervisor 10 to support four attorneys in Lansing, MI. You will draft pleadings, briefs, letters and memoranda, manage docketing and case files, and assist with data entry into Legal Files; knowledge of e-filing systems is a plus.

Educational requirement is a high school diploma, with four years of legal secretarial experience.

Qualifications

• Four years of legal secretarial experience, including two years equivalent to a Legal Secretary E8.
• High school diploma or equivalent education is required.
• Experience with docketing and maintaining case files is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Prepare legal pleadings, briefs, letters and memoranda using appropriate terminology and formatting.
• Prepare appearances, notices, subpoenas, affidavits, etc.
• Maintain/organize case files and docketing; enter data into Legal Files.
