Job summary

RR Donnelley & Sons in Columbus, OH is seeking a Proofreader for a 3rd shift (Mon-Fri, 10pm-7am) with a $2.75/hour differential. This hybrid role reviews legal documents for grammar and verbiage, checks formatting, and ensures accuracy against mark-ups.

The candidate will support Document Services, handle confidential materials, and collaborate with managers and clients to meet deadlines. A Bachelor's in English/Journalism or equivalent and 1 year proofreading experience are required, with

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in English/Journalism or equivalent experience.
Minimum 1 year proofreading experience in legal, banking or corporate env.
Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of legal timekeeping or job tracking systems preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
Strong attention to detail with accuracy and quality.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Self-motivated with a positive attitude and customer service focus.

Responsibilities

Identify and correct spelling, grammar, and verbiage errors in complex legal documents.
Detect formatting and compositional errors in documents.
Check corrected proofs against mark-up for QA.
Assist Document Services with document production as needed.
Handle sensitive/confidential documents and information.
Communicate with manager and client on deadlines.
Adhere to policy and client site requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
