Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English/Journalism or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 1 year proofreading experience in legal, banking, or corporate setting.
• Proficient MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of a legal timekeeping system preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Detail-oriented with high accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Proven customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and correct spelling, grammar, and verbiage in legal documents.
• Detect formatting and compositional errors in documents.
• Check proofs against mark-up for QA.
• Assist Document Services with production and preparation.
• Handle sensitive and confidential documents and information.
• Communicate with manager and client on deadlines.
• Adhere to policy and client site rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
