Valmont Industries, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager of Legal Operations to lead budgeting, outside counsel management, and legal technology across our global function. This builder role focuses on implementing e-billing, CLM integration with ERP, and establishing metrics dashboards while guiding AI adoption in Legal.

The role reports to the CLO and collaborates with Finance, IT, and Compliance. Travel approx. 10% to international legal teams and segment counsel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, information systems or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in legal operations or closely related function, including in-house.
• Hands-on experience with e-billing or matter management platforms and integration.
• Strong financial acumen: budgeting, forecasting, accruals and spend analytics.
• Proven track record managing outside counsel and legal vendors with Finance/IT.
• Advanced Excel and data viz skills; working knowledge of AI capabilities and risks.

Responsibilities

• Own the legal department budget with planning, forecasting and reporting.
• Lead outside counsel management, billing guidelines and rate negotiations.
• Oversee invoicing workflows with Accounts Payable and policy compliance.
• Develop leg al tech roadmap: e-billing, CLM, matter and entity management.
• Build dashboards on spend, matters, cycle times and SLAs for leadership.

Education

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, information systems or related field

4+ years in legal operations (in-house preferred)

Excel and data visualization (Power BI/Tableau)
