Zusammenfassung

Public Storage is seeking a highly organized Legal Operations Specialist to support the Legal Department in onboarding outside counsel and vendors, managing e-billing, accruals, and matter administration. You will collaborate with the SAP Finance team, outside counsel, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate billing and timely payments.

Reporting to the Legal Operations Manager, you will maintain data in SimpleLegal, Unity ELM, CounselLink, and SAP, generate spend reports, and drive process

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
• At least three years of experience in legal operations, e-billing, matter management, or related corporate legal support.
• Experience in corporate legal departments or law firms.
• Experience with legal e-billing, including invoice review and guideline compliance.
• Knowledge of invoicing, accruals, matter administration, onboarding, and payments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Aufgaben

• Manage end-to-end onboarding of outside counsel and legal vendors, coordinating with SAP Finance for setup and payments.
• Serve as primary operational contact for invoicing, accruals, and billing procedures; liaise between Legal, Finance, and other functions.
• Review invoices for compliance with billing guidelines and resolve discrepancies with outside counsel and vendors.
• Maintain outside counsel timekeeper rates and billing data; update billing guidelines and train on systems.
• Coordinate monthly legal accruals and prepare accrual reports.
• Administer matters in SimpleLegal, Unity ELM, CounselLink, SAP, or Trimble; ensure data accuracy.
• Receive service of process and assign matters to counsel.
• Process approved invoices and restitution payments through SAP and Trimble eBuilder.
• Prepare and deliver legal spend and accrual reports; track spend vs budgets.
• Identify trends, issues, and opportunities to improve processes.
