ABOUT THE ROLE:

May Jung Law Personal Injury Lawyers, a personal injury and civil rights law firm, is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Legal Intake Specialist to join our team. As a Legal Intake Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for potential clients, helping them through some of the most challenging moments of their lives. This role requires not only professionalism but also empathy and care, ensuring that clients feel heard, supported, and guided through their legal journey. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing leads and assisting with case expenses, contributing to the financial management of cases to ensure the best possible outcome for our clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Conduct initial intake calls with potential clients, gathering critical information about their cases and ensuring they feel supported and understood.
2. Evaluate prospective client inquiries, assess their case fit, and ensure they feel seen and heard throughout the process.
3. Assist with managing case expenses, including tracking and documenting case-related costs.
4. Organize paperwork and perform data entry in our case management system (Lead Docket and Filevine) to ensure smooth onboarding for new clients and accurate maintenance of existing client files.
5. Manage and track leads effectively, ensuring timely follow-up and high conversion rates.
6. Provide relevant, helpful, and thoughtful responses to client questions and concerns, acting as a knowledgeable and compassionate resource for them.
7. Facilitate communication between clients and attorneys to ensure clients understand the process and receive clear, empathetic support every step of the way.
8. Help manage attorney schedules, including prospective client consultations, to ensure efficient caseload growth and client service.
9. Assist with administrative tasks such as email correspondence, document management, and data organization to keep the firm running efficiently.
10. Available to be on-call and work on weekends, evenings, and holidays on a rotating basis.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Communicate eloquently and compassionately, providing clients with the clarity and connection they need.
• Full familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite, with advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Experience with case management software (experience with Lead Docket and Filevine is preferred).
• Strong organizational and data management skills.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
• Proficiency in and comfort with working remotely.
