Job summary

Polsinelli is seeking a Docket Specialist to join our centralized docketing team. Review, analyze, and interpret pleadings, court orders, notices, and other legal documents to identify and calculate deadlines in accordance with court rules, statutes, and firm protocols.

The role requires 3–5 years of docketing or equivalent experience, familiarity with PACER/ECFs, and a college degree or paralegal certification.

Qualifications

3-5 years of docketing, legal support, or equivalent experience in a law firm or legal services environment.
College degree and/or paralegal certification (or equivalent experience) preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

Review, analyze, and interpret pleadings, court orders, notices, and other legal documents to identify and calculate deadlines according to court rules, statutes, local procedures, and firm docketing protocols.
Research and interpret Federal, State, and Local rules across multiple jurisdictions.
Enter, update, and maintain deadlines in the firm’s centralized docketing system.
Perform quality-control reviews of docket entries and deadline calculations.
Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and staff on docketing processes in a timely, professional manner.
Assist Docketing team members as backup and provide additional support as needed.
Interact with team to deliver high-quality, sustainable service.
