Job summary

Polsinelli seeks a Docket Specialist to join its centralized docketing team in New York. You will review, interpret, and calculate deadlines from pleadings and orders, entering data into the firm’s docketing system with accuracy and timeliness.

The role requires 3–5 years of docketing or equivalent experience, familiarity with PACER/ECFs, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Aderant CompuLaw experience is preferred, supporting a collaborative, client-focused culture.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of docketing or equivalent legal support experience in a law firm or legal services environment.
• Experience with Aderant CompuLaw or other docketing systems preferred.
• College degree and/or paralegal certification (or equivalent experience) preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and interpret pleadings, court orders, notices, and other legal documents to identify and calculate deadlines according to court rules and firm procedures.
• Research and interpret Federal, State, and Local rules across multiple jurisdictions.
• Enter and maintain deadlines in the firm’s centralized docketing system.
• Perform quality-control reviews of docket entries and deadline calculations for accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and staff to understand docketing processes and deadlines.
• Provide backup support to the Docketing team as needed.
• Interact with team members to deliver high-quality service.
