Job summary

Polsinelli, a leading national law firm, seeks a Docket Specialist to join our centralized docketing team in Chicago. You will review pleadings, court orders, and notices to identify deadlines and ensure compliance with rules across jurisdictions.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years docketing experience, familiarity with Aderant CompuLaw, PACER, and Microsoft Office, and a paralegal certificate or equivalent education.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of docketing or equivalent experience in a law firm or legal services environment.
• Experience with docketing systems preferred.
• Paralegal certification or college degree preferred.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and interpret pleadings, court orders, notices, and other legal documents to identify and calculate deadlines.
• Enter, update, and maintain deadlines in the centralized docketing system.
• Quality-control reviews of docket entries and deadline calculations.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and staff on docketing processes.
• Assist Docketing team members as backup and provide additional support as needed.
