Job summary

Rimkus Consulting Group, Inc. is seeking a Support Specialist, Human Factors to provide skilled support to our operations group in client services. You will manage client-supplied materials and summarize depositions and discovery documents, focusing on work with law firms and manufacturers.

You will represent the company professionally in written and verbal communications. The role involves handling over 100 active cases, coordinating scheduling, and preparing files for transmission to clients

Qualifications

• Associate's degree, certificate, or equivalent coursework (legal studies or related work experience preferred).
• Proven experience (minimum five (5) years) as a paralegal, legal secretary, or legal assistant in a law firm, legal department, or legal services firm.
• Experience supporting civil litigation matters strongly preferred.
• Experience working with manufacturers or product liability matters a plus.
• Proficiency with PACER, Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and various legal related sites
• Eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Document & Materials Management: receive, organize, log, and maintain client-supplied legal materials (pleadings, correspondence, exhibits, electronic files).
• Deposition & Discovery Review and Summarization: read, analyze, and prepare concise, accurate summaries of depositions and discovery materials.
• Client & Professional Communications: project a professional image; act as key contact for law firm clients and manufacturers; draft correspondence and follow-ups.
• General Legal Support: coordinate scheduling of meetings, depositions, deadlines; stay aware of applicable rules; assist with subpoenas.
• Manage case load of 100+ active cases and prepare files for transmission to clients and opposing counsel.
