Magnit Direct Sourcing on behalf of Toyota is hiring a Legal Claim Assistant for a 12-month contract in Plano, Texas. The role covers initial review and processing of claims and entering details into the legal matter management system.

Candidates should have basic Word/Excel skills, data entry ability, and strong organization. Salesforce experience is a plus; visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Basic experience with Word, Excel and common Microsoft applications.
• Data entry
• Needs to have good reasoning skills to interpret data
• Needs to be well organized to handle work volume.

Responsibilities

• The claims assistant is responsible for the initial review and processing of claims and notices received from Toyota's Brand Engagement Center, insurance companies, attorneys, or other sources.
• The claims assistant reviews the materials provided and enters all information into the legal matter management system for reporting purposes.
• Each claim requires a detailed review for a description of the incident, defect allegations, vehicle information, customer information and whether there is an alleged death, injury or property damage.
• The claim assistant is also responsible for keeping track of all documents received for each claim and saving the documents into a document management system.
• Designated claim assistants are also responsible for assigning vehicle inspections and downloading inspection reports once they are completed.
• Efficiency and accuracy are extremely important since the incidents are subject to various audits and reported to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (TREAD Reporting).
