Soap Creek Resources is seeking an experienced Billing Manager to lead our legal billing team in Chicago after implementing Aderant. The role focuses on hands‑on billing management, training, and resolving billing workflow issues to ensure timely, accurate client invoicing.

Ideal candidates will have strong Aderant experience, prior supervisory exposure, and a proactive mindset to streamline electronic billing (BillBlast, LEDES 1998B) and client compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong legal billing experience with hands-on Aderant proficiency.
• Experience leading a billing team or supervising others is preferred.
• Ability to train colleagues and resolve billing workflow questions.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned legal billing work accurately and independently.
• Provide day-to-day guidance and support to billing team members.
• Help train colleagues on Aderant and resolve billing workflow questions.
• Prepare, review, and process client bills in accordance with client billing requirements.
• Support electronic billing, including BillBlast and LEDES 1998B files.
• Identify and resolve billing discrepancies, electronic submission issues, and rejected invoices.
• Coordinate with attorneys, accounting staff, and other internal stakeholders to complete billing accurately and on time.
• Help the team strengthen billing processes following the Aderant implementation.
