Job summary

Marshall, Gerstein & Borun LLP is seeking two experienced Legal Billers to support the firm after implementing Aderant. This temporary role requires strong billing expertise and hands-on Aderant experience, with potential temp-to-hire.

Initial onsite training is preferred in Downtown Chicago, with possible hybrid flexibility afterward. Remote candidates with exceptional Aderant skills will also be considered. Apply to join a skilled team handling complex billing tasks.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of Aderant experience.
• Strong billing accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience with LEDES 1998B and BillBlast.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and process legal invoices using Aderant.
• Manage assigned billing work accurately and within established deadlines.
• Review invoices for accuracy and compliance with client billing requirements.
• Prepare and submit electronic invoices, including through BillBlast.
• Work with LEDES 1998B electronic billing files.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies, rejected invoices, and electronic billing issues.
• Coordinate with attorneys, billing colleagues, and accounting staff to address questions and complete billing.
• Share Aderant knowledge and assist colleagues as needed.
