Job summary

Marshall, Gerstein & Borun LLP is seeking two experienced Legal Billers to support the firm after its Aderant rollout. The roles require hands-on Aderant usage, strong billing skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal ramp-up.

Positions are temporary with potential temp-to-hire. Initial training is onsite in Downtown Chicago, with hybrid flexibility afterward; strong remote candidates with Aderant expertise will also be considered.

Qualifications

• Strong legal billing experience required.
• Hands-on Aderant experience (2–3 years preferred).
• Experience with eBilling, BillBlast, and LEDES 1998B.
• Ability to work independently with minimal ramp-up time.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication.
• Availability to start ASAP.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and process legal invoices using Aderant.
• Manage billing work within deadlines.
• Review invoices for accuracy and client requirements.
• Submit electronic invoices, including BillBlast.
• Work with LEDES 1998B files.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Coordinate with attorneys, colleagues, and accounting staff.
• Share Aderant knowledge with colleagues.
