Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in all phases of workers’ compensation defense litigation.
• Manage and organize case files, including electronic and paper records.
• Coordinate and manage discovery, including collection, review, and production of documents.
• Draft, review, and edit legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence.
• Maintain and update case calendars by tracking deadlines and scheduling hearings, depositions, and meetings.
• Communicate with clients, witnesses, medical providers, and opposing counsel to gather information and provide updates.
• Perform administrative tasks, such as copying, scanning, and digital filing.

Workers' compensation is a fast-paced administrative law practice. With offices conveniently located in the suburbs of Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, CML has been defending clients for over 20 years.

Position Overview

We are looking for a Legal Assistant to support the daily operations of our workers’ compensation defense team. Legal Assistants are a critical part of the CML team; they support their assigned attorneys in effective file management. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, stays organized, and is comfortable with technology.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in all phases of workers’ compensation defense litigation.
• Manage and organize case files, including (primarily) electronic and paper records.
• Coordinate and manage discovery, including the collection, review, and production of documents.
