Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Legal Assistant to provide administrative and litigation support to multiple attorneys, including senior leadership. This position combines traditional legal assistant responsibilities with executive-level administrative support, making it ideal for someone who thrives in a deadline-driven environment, enjoys staying organized, and can confidently manage competing priorities with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and litigation support to multiple attorneys within a commercial litigation practice.
- Coordinate attorney calendars, meetings, court dates, and scheduling activities.
- Prepare, edit, proofread, and format legal documents and correspondence.
- Maintain and organize both electronic and physical case files.
- Conduct conflict checks and assist with new matter intake.
- Prepare litigation binders, exhibits, and materials for hearings, depositions, and trial preparation.
- Assist with state and federal court e‑filings while ensuring filing deadlines are met.
- Serve as a professional point of contact for clients and outside parties by phone and email.
- Coordinate mailings, legal notices, and other time-sensitive document deliveries.
- Provide executive administrative support to senior leadership, including calendar management, meeting coordination, confidential correspondence, and special projects.
- Assist with additional administrative duties to support the litigation team as needed.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of legal assistant experience supporting a commercial litigation practice.
- Experience with state and federal e‑filing procedures.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook calendaring and scheduling.
- Experience supporting multiple attorneys in a fast-paced legal environment.
- Executive or senior leadership support experience is highly preferred.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a legal team.
