We are seeking an experienced Legal Practice Assistant (LPA) to support attorneys, associates, and paralegals in our Miami, FL office. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative and legal support across multiple practice areas, including Litigation, Bankruptcy, Corporate, and Tax.
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and hands-on experience with legal filing systems and law firm technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative and legal support to attorneys, associates, and paralegals.
- Support multiple practice areas, including Litigation, Bankruptcy, Corporate, and Tax.
- Prepare, format, proofread, and revise legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, and other materials.
- Assist with electronic filing of legal documents through the Florida e-Filing Portal and CM/ECF.
- Maintain and organize electronic and physical case files and documents.
- Enter and maintain attorney time records using IntApp Time Entry.
- Assist with document management and retrieval using iManage.
- Prepare presentations, reports, spreadsheets, and other materials using Microsoft Office.
- Coordinate meetings, calendars, deadlines, and other administrative activities.
- Communicate professionally with attorneys, clients, courts, and other external parties.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Provide general administrative support to the assigned legal teams as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of legal experience, preferably within a law firm environment.
- Strong working knowledge of the Florida e-Filing Portal.
- Hands-on experience with CM/ECF.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience with IntApp Time Entry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced legal environment.
- Fluent in both Spanish and English, with strong reading, writing, and speaking skills.
- Ability and willingness to work in-office five days per week.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with iManage or other legal document management systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Previous experience supporting Litigation, Bankruptcy, Corporate, or Tax practices.
- Experience working in a large or mid-sized law firm.
